Just for fun, Ali Haydar S. Ileri, GWRRA #168427, also of Istanbul, sent this photo of his 2002 GL1800 known as “Spirit of the Wind” with that of his friends Feza & Berrin Haznedar with their ’96 GL1500A. The photo was taken in September at Cunda on the Northern Aegean coast of Turkey.

You see it posed in front of the Mediterranean in South France near of Nice. “We were on return tour last June from a vacation to south Italy. In this vacation we rode a fantastic 4,000 miles on our Gold Wing. And now we look forward to our next big ride to the south of Spain.”

1993 Gold Wing Interstate & 1999 Valkyrie Tourer
Jack McCraw, GWRRA #93794, sent us this shot of his two black motorcycles in front of his house in Dublin, Virginia. “I love the look of an all-black-and-chrome motorcycle. What could be better? TWO black motorcycles! My wife (my Co-Rider) and I ride them both. (She prefers the Wing.)
My touring (and cold weather bike) is the 1993 Gold Wing Interstate. (Yes, I painted the silver bottom portion black!) My ‘cruiser’ is this ’99 Valkyrie Tourer. Both bikes sport custom exhausts and various other performance mods.”

1984 GL1200 Interstate
Jan Krijtenburg, GWRRA #168332, of Hoogerheide, Netherlands, sent us this photo if himself and his grey 1984 GL1200 Interstate in front of the Atomium in Brussels in Belgium. Jan write, “I live in Holland, but my wife's sister and her husband live in Belgium. When we visited them, my brother-in-law, who rides a Ducati, and I decided to go for a short trip around Brussels and we took this picture.”
Jan bought his Wing in 1994 and hopes it will last a lot longer “because I like the GL1200 more than the newer Wings.”
He had added a BMW motorcycle radio/cassette player with controls on the handlebars, a trunk rack, a small flagpole and a tank rack.
